An engineer and businessman, John Raczynski grew up in the city of Lodz surrounded by music. Born in Lodz on January 2, 1952, Zbigniew (John) Raczynski graduated from the Technical University of Lodz with a degree in Msc. chemical engineering. He commenced his working life as a design engineer but when martial law was declared by the Polish (Communist) government in 1981, he left for Paris, living there for a year before migrating to Toronto, Canada. He worked as a Special Project Engineer for a number of Canadian companies before visiting his native land in 1991 as a Canadian entrepreneur.
"I’ll Find You" (aka "Music, War and Love") is his first motion picture production.
He retains dual Canadian/Polish citizenship.
