Edvinas Puksta is a Programmer, Film hunter, Member of the European Film Academy, Festival traveller and freelance reporter. After 15 years of programming, coordinating, scheduling for the Vilnius International Film Festival. He now watches films, scouts and advises for BLACK NIGHTS Film Festival in Tallinn (which holds the FIAPF accreditation for its international competition programme) from summer of 2018.
Edvinas regularly attends various international film festivals in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America since 2001. He visited 18 film festivals and saw 925 feature films in 2018. Edvinas is an expert in Selection Committee of the European Film Awards for the second consecutive year by invitation of the Board of the European Film Academy.
His reviews, articles and reports were published in Lithuanian media outlets: online in one of the biggest news portal in Lithuania 15 MIN.LT and monthly magazine VALSTYBĖ among others. Edvinas evaluated Lithuanian film projects as a member of the Film Board at the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture from 2008 till 2012.
Previously Edvinas judged short and feature films as a Jury member in Cannes (CICAE Jury for QUINZAINE DES REALISATEURS), Berlin (CICAE Jury for section FORUM), Busan (NETPAC Jury), Wroclaw (Polish Short Films Competition Jury), Cluj-Napoca (Romanian Short Films Competition Jury), Bucharest, Tallinn, Minsk, Malatya, Pilsen, etc.
