Michael Pattison

Michael Pattison is a critic and filmmaker from Gateshead. His publications as a writer include Sight & Sound, the British Film Institute, MUBI, Reverse Shot and RogerEbert.com. He is also a tutor of the FIPRESCI Warsaw Critics Project, a training initiative for young film critics that takes place during the Warsaw Film Festival. In September 2016, he began a PhD in film practice at Newcastle University. His project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, investigates and responds to questions of urban space.
