Grażyna Torbicka

Journalist, film critic, MA in Arts and Theatre History, graduate of the Theatre Studies of the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.
Since 2007 she has been a co-author and artistic director of the Two Riversides Film and Art Festival in Kazimierz Dolny.
For over 31 years, she has been working for the Polish Television Channel 2, TVP2. She has authored multiple artistic documentaries and TV programmes devoted to culture.
Since 1966 she has hosted the Kocham Kino film show, which promotes artistic and auteur cinema and also young Polish filmmakers. She has conducted interviews with the most prominent Polish and foreign filmmakers. For her show entitled Kocham Kino Grażyna Torbicka received an award of the Polish Film Institute.
She is a co-author and a host of prestigious galas including Nike Literary Award, Paszporty Polityki, Totus Award, Gala of Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, Gala of Venice International Film Festival, Chopin Piano Competition Gala, and many others.
She has been a juror at International Film Festivals in Berlin, Cannes, and Bari. A winner of numerous awards, i.a. eight Wiktors (Award of the Polish Television Academy), including one Super Wiktor for the best television personality and Złota Telekamera. For her activity in the field of culture, she has received Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, Silver Gloria Artis Medal of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity granted by the President of the Italian Republic for her contribution to the promotion of Italian Culture.
