Icebreaker

Section: Icebreaker

Amra Bakšić Camo (film producer, head of CineLink) and Irena Strzałkowska (Polish representative at Eurimages) will talk about the possibilities of obtaining funds for the development, production and post-production of a film at festivals, film markets, industry events and within the framework of European Union programs.

Before the lecture there will be a short presentation by Creative Europe Desk Polska, the co-organizer of the Icebreaker workshops.

The Transatlantyk Festival invites young producers and directors who already have their first experience in finding funds for film production to participate in workshops. During the two-day intensive course, participants will talk about the possibilities of obtaining public and private funds for films in Poland, key activities at the development stage, practical aspects of financing and cooperation in international co-production or the return on investment in film production.

"It's the task of the Icebreaker workshops to provide participants with practical knowledge that they can use in their every day fim making activities." We want the workshop to help and point out new opportunities appearing in the film industry, but also directly talked about potential threats lurking on the market." - says Joanna Łapińska, Program Director of the Transatlantyk Festival. - "I am glad that the first edition of the Icebreaker workshops has been received so well, we are constantly hearding opinions of how such a workshop was needed."

The event is co-organized by Creative Europe Desk Polska.
The workshop is organized by the Polish National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers and
Łódź Film Commission.
